At BEX Asia 2025, Klar™ ceiling baffles were introduced at the Obayashi and CDL Theatres, integrating acoustic treatment as part of each theatre’s visual identity.
BEX Asia is a leading built environment exhibition in Southeast Asia, bringing together the industry through conversations, ideas and innovation.
At the heart of the event, the Obayashi and CDL Theatres hosted a series of talks and presentations, bringing engineers, business partners and professionals together to share knowledge, exchange ideas and explore new possibilities.
With large audiences and expansive interiors, controlling echo and reverberation was essential to maintain sound clarity during talks and presentations.
The challenge was to meet these acoustic requirements while making the ceiling an intentional part of each theatre’s design.
The two theatres translate Klar™’s acoustic solution into distinct visual experiences.
The Obayashi Theatre features a vibrant rainbow composition, while the CDL Theatre adopts a blue gradient for a more unified expression.
Together, the installations show how acoustic treatment can contribute to the character of an event space without compromising its function.
Beyond the theatres, Klar™ was also present at the BEX Asia 2025 exhibition, providing opportunities to connect with industry professionals, exchange ideas and explore the role of acoustics in the built environment.
