At Springleaf, a converted storeroom becomes a personal home entertainment and music room. Installed across the main wall in SD03 Walnut, Klar™ Slatwood brings warmth and vertical rhythm to a space built around sound. Layered with Klar™ Signature Bespoke Artwork panels, the wall functions as both an acoustic wall panel and a curated gallery, reflecting the personality of the person who built the room.
The space started as a storeroom. The customer saw something else in it. A dedicated room for a home theatre setup, a hi-fi speaker system, and the kind of listening that deserves a space of its own. In a room like this, how it sounds matters as much as how it looks.
The room was contained, lined with hard surfaces that let sound build and reflect more than they should. Without acoustic treatment, echo affected the clarity and depth that music and film depend on. The space had potential, but needed to be resolved both visually and acoustically before it could truly perform.
The approach was shaped by the customer from the start. A love for vintage motorsport aesthetics guided every decision about the wall. Klar™ Slatwood in SD03 Walnut was installed first, its warm timber tones and vertical slat pattern managing sound absorption across the surface. Klar™ Signature Bespoke Artwork panels were then mounted on top, each vintage racing print produced on Klar Essential White panels and positioned as part of the wall composition. Precision was essential throughout. The wall was uneven, and a laser measurement system was used at every stage to ensure each panel sat flush and true. The customer was present and involved throughout, and that collaboration carried through to the final result.
The home entertainment room now brings together acoustic comfort and a space that feels genuinely personal. With echo reduced, the room performs the way it was designed to. Every detail considered, every panel placed with intention.
